Just glue it back together, no one will know or care.

Yeah but I like my planes to be "just so" and a mashed up canopy will just never do.

Colin, I understand the drive to perfection.

Might I suggest that you set up a mold and vacuum-form replacements using 2-litre pop bottles? Or creating them from balsa blocks.

Colin, I have one... you can have it free unless Dave Edwards speaks up first.

Colin, go for Gordons one. Gordon & I were having trouble hooking up I was going away for vaction so I just ordered a couple from GWS Taiwan which arrived by the end of my vacation! Changed the mounting system so I shouldn't be losing it any more.

Thanks Dave! Seems that him and I are having trouble just connecting here online as well! Dunno how often he checks here.

Gordon when you do, please email me directly at cmoses@rogers.com so we can make arrangements. Thanks!

Colin

Well there's good news and there's bad news. Good news is that Gordon was kind enough to give me a spare Formosa canopy that he had.

The bad news is ...

The CL-215 won't be ready for the Funfly this weekend. It's almost ready (just finishing up the wiring) but will need a LOT of ground testing etc before I'm confident enough to get her in the air. There's almost 35 FEET of wiring in this baby! Eighteen feet of power leads alone (plus the flaps Plus the ailerons plus the flap servo equalizers plus etc, etc.) so needless to say this was the most complex wiring job I've done thus far.

Needless to say there was quite a bit of soldering to be done which is the main reason for the extensive ground testing since I'm not the best "solderer". ;) Who knows if there are cold joints lurking and ready to strike at the most inopportune moment!

Anyways, I may bring it out this weekend to do some of the setup and testing. See everyone tomorrow at TEMAC!

Colin.
